Founded in 2001 by the popular recording star, The Justin Timberlake Foundation is dedicated to promoting music education as essential to a child’s development. The Foundation works to encourage people to become advocates on behalf of this important cause.

The Foundation partnered with AMC beginning in 2002, when Timberlake made a live telephone appearance on MTV’s Total Request Live urging viewers to visit the AMC website and sign an online petition asking to Congress support music education. Later that year, Timberlake’s mother Lynn Harless delivered thousands of signatures to Capitol Hill to complete that mission. AMC and the Justin Timberlake Foundation remain steadfast partners in their efforts to foster better access to quality music education.
