Disney and Baby Einstein Launch Music Products for Kids

The Walt Disney Company’s recent acquisition of The Baby Einstein Company, an award-winning creator of media products, toys and books for babies and toddlers, is bearing its first fruit with the debut of a Baby Einstein series of musical products. “Baby Vivaldi,” a baby-friendly orchestration of 17 of the Baroque composer’s works, became available on May 7 as the series’ debut title.

AMC has joined Disney and Baby Einstein in this effort by preparing special copy that will appear in the CD cases for each release in the series. This cooperative effort is part of the continuing partnership between AMC and the Disney media powerhouse—a partnership that helps us to reach millions of parents with the positive message that music making is vital to every child’s life.

By informing parents about the benefits of music making, and introducing some of the music-brain research that has documented those benefits, the insertions will help transform the Baby Einstein musical collection from a passive enjoyment into a gateway to a musical future.

Performed by the “Baby Einstein Music Box Orchestra” to be gentle and playful for young ears, the series will also include re-releases of earlier Baby Einstein music titles, including “Baby Mozart,” “Baby Beethoven” and “Baby Bach.”

The “Baby Vivaldi” disc includes several specially orchestrated selections from “The Four Seasons” in addition to movements from seven other concertos and an introductory “orchestra warm-up.” The simplified arrangements feature three artists performing on piano, keyboard, percussion and bassoon.
