Teen People Drums To A Musical Beat

The American Music Conference is proud to bestow its latest Advertising Award upon the editors of Teen People magazine, the nation’s top teen magazine. This is the latest award in a program through which AMC singles out non-musical companies that use musical themes in their advertising campaigns.

This award recognizes not only Teen People’s music-themed ads, but also its across-the-board devotion to music, music trends and highlighting musical acts. Its recent advertising campaign prominently featured a young girl joyfully playing drums while friends jam on guitars behind her, with the tag line: “She dreams of being a star.”

Teen People received a lasting symbol of this recognition in the form of an AMC plaque for display at its company offices.
